The clock goes slowly, like the water
                                        flows
from the Danube to the Black Sea.
The airplane fires forward its rockets.
The snow flies lousy down from the mountain.
The bell strikes from the tower and leaves.
                            the priest his mass.
The peops go in to the mass with their request.
Jesus Christ, come down to us, please.

Die Uhr geht langsam, wie das Wasser

Die Donau ab, zum Schwarzen Meer.
Das Flugzeug schießt vorause mit Raketen.
Die Schnee fliegt lausig herab vom Gebirg.
Die Glocke schlägt vom Turm und ließt.
                            der Pfarrer seine Messe.
Die Leut’ gehen hin zur Messe mit der Bitte.
Ab zu uns komme, Jesus Christus, bitte gleich.
